Facelift
Facelift surgery is performed to reverse signs of aging in the face and neck. This includes correction of sagging of the cheeks, jowls, the jaw line, and neck laxity with loose skin, fat deposits, or visible bands. Depending on the needs of the patient, Dr. Putman performs the standard SMAS facelift, deep plane facelift, midface or cheek lifts, and also mini lifts including the short incision face and neck lift. Occasionally a neck lift alone can be performed, with or without the use of an endoscope. Dr. Putman also performs certain types of suture lifts which utilize a more long-lasting and stronger type of suture called the silhouette suture. The silhouette suture lift is most effective for the midface cheek and jowl areas. Dr. Putman recently coauthored a consumer guide to facelift and other procedures entitled, Your Complete Guide to Facial Rejuvenation, by Addicus Books.
