Otoplasty
Otoplasty is surgery to reshape and correct protuberant ear deformities or other congenital or acquired deformities of the external ear. The procedure is performed through fine incisions hidden on the posterior surface of the hairline which effectively hides the scar. While no two ears are exactly the same, the importance of the procedure is to restore symmetry and a natural appearance while correcting excessive protrusion of the ear from the skull. Otoplasty can be performed as young as age five or six.
