We are happy to announce that Ame Nguyen has joined our practice. Ame is a Licensed Massage Therapist who has been proficient in massage for eight years. She graduated from Lifepath School of Massage Therapy in 2000. Ame is an instructor at ICC in the massage therapy program, and has been a Vodder School Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist for six years. The different types of massages she practices are: Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Manual Lymph Drainage, Pregnancy, Sports, Orthopedic and Thai Herbal.

HELP RESTORE THE SKIN'S YOUTHFUL LOOK WITH INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL)
We have a new IPL machine, from Lumenis, that is proving to be very effective for photorejuvenation. Photorejuvenation using IPL is a non-invasive treatment that treats skin damage without disruption of the skin's surface, hence, no “down time”. IPL can simultaneously treat a wide range of facial and body concerns safely and effectively, such as broken capillaries, benign brown pigment, age spots (sun induced freckles), mottled pigmentation and poikiloderma (any reds or browns in the skin).  

Our Esthetician applies cold gel to the area to be treated. The smooth glass surface of the IPL handpiece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are applied. You may feel a slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band. Treatment is generally administered in a series of 2 to 6 sessions that provide excellent long-term results, minimal adverse effects and high satisfacation. Each treatment takes about a half hour.  

THE SILHOUETTE LIFT
A New and Improved Thread Lift  

The Facial Plastic and Laser Surgery Center is introducing a new and improved Thread Lift procedure, to treat the midfacial area, cheeks and jowls, called the Silhouette Lift. This uses a sturdier suture suspension device to gently lift the areas of the midface, including the cheek and jowl area, with more reliable suspension and longevity than any previously utilized suture suspension technique. Rather than barbs, the silhouette midface sutures contain small absorbable cones which more effectively lift the deep tissues and support them in position. The procedure requires only a single small incision in the temporal hairline.  

As with any suture suspension technique, the results are not permanent, but do last significantly longer than the previously utilized suture suspension techniques, including the contour threads which have recently been discontinued. Down time from the procedure is only about five days which is identical to previously performed contour Thread Lift procedures. Operating time and cost of the Silhouette Lift are virtually the same as a contour Thread Lift.

RADIOFREQUENCY SKIN TIGHTENING AND BODY CONTOURING TREATMENTS NOW AVAILABLE
Non-invasive, no-down-time procedure

If you’re experiencing sagging of areas of the face, neck or body, we are now using radio frequency for skin tightening and volume reduction. The treatments are non-invasive, there is no down-time and you’ll find that the treatments are very comfortable. Between three and six treatments are required, one every three weeks.

The facial treatments take about 20 minutes and will help with volume reduction of the neck and jowls, contouring of the jawline and cheeks, reducing wrinkles and crows feet and lifting of the brows.

The body treatments can be done on thighs, buttocks and the abdomen. These treatments will help with volume and cellulite reduction and lifting of the buttocks.
